Blackened ash wine racking is our most architectural system. Solid Australian ash, ebonised and hand-oiled to a deep, even black, built to read as a single sculptural volume rather than a set of shelves. It’s the system architects reach for when the cellar is part of the room’s design, not hidden behind a door. The dark timber recedes and the wine becomes the colour — which is exactly the point.
Every system is designed in our Mornington studio and built in our own workshop — no subcontracting the build, no handing off to an installer. With blackened ash, the finish is the craft: the timber is worked and oiled by hand so the black stays even across the grain, even under cellar lighting.
